Hello From A New Member,

I model British trains in OO gauge, and need brass screws of various BA sizes and lengths. My current requirement is for BA 6 brass with cheese head about 51 mm in length. The absolutely correct screw in this instance has a smooth barrel with the last 1/2 inch threaded at the tip, although this is not critical. What I need is 2 inch length and BA 6. The host facility for this forum doesn't allow me (for some reason) to ask a question directly, so I am hoping someone can point me to a source. Many thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean about the host facility here..???? It seems there are plenty of ways to ask us questions...

In either case, BA brass screws are something we do not carry, although very common in the UK. Most suppliers in the UK will only sell box quantities to the US so if you require sufficient numbers of them, I can try to locate some for you.

BA fasteners are fairly common still but locating them in brass is more difficult. I get only several requests for them in one year, so they are not really worth keeping in stock, sorry.

If you only require several dozen of any one size, it would be less expensive for you to purchase the correct sized BA dies and make your own.

Hello BT&F. My reference to problems contacting you concerns the error message I get when I fill out your email form (from your shipping page): "Illegal Execution Detected". It would be good if I knew a workaround for this. About the availability of the screws I need: thanks for letting me know about the quantity issue. I don't need large quantities, so I would appreciate some direction as to how I could make my own, as I have never done this before. What would I need: BA 6 die? Blank 2" cheese head screws? What tools would be necessary? Perhaps on your website there is a tutorial.... Many thanks. John Whitney. PS: It may be that direct emails between us would be more appropriate than cluttering up the forum with neophyte instructions. Thanks.
