    Default How to blacken fasteners?

    Any suggestions about how to blacken fasteners (steel or stainless) to replicate the look of the original BEES fasteners which came with a black oxide finish? I'm restoring a 1958 Jaguar XK 150 and am hoping to replicate the original look of the hardware. the original finish didn't last very long, so I'm looking for something more durable. Thanks.

    I recommend using one of the Caswell Plating black oxide kits. The gel in particular.
